The Photovoltaic (PV) Grid Connect Power Plant consists mainly of 3 components, namely Solar Photovoltaic array the PCU & Battery Bank. The PV array converts the light energy into direct current (DC) power and charges the battery bank thru PCU. The module mounting structure hold the module in position facing south at an optimum tilt angle for max exposure to direct sunlight. The PCU combines the functionality of solar charger and inverter to deliver pure sine wave output. PCU also powers the load from solar or battery depending upon the solar availability, connected load and battery state of charge. The solar power is given the first priority by the PCU to maximize solar generation. The switch over from one source to another happens without any break thus insuring break free operation.
